Victoria Barracks and Marjorie

Save Victoria Barracks

Victoria Barracks is not surplus land or a disposable asset. Established in the 1840s, it is one of Australia’s most significant military and heritage sites, and continuously used for nearly two centuries as a centre of military leadership, administration, and national service.

I therefore call on the Federal Government to halt the proposed sale and commit to keeping Victoria Barracks, Sydney in public ownership, and for the Government to work with local communities, veterans’ organisations, historians, and heritage experts to develop a long-term stewardship model that protects the site and enhances its public value.

Seniors Awareness Day - Marjorie Speaking

Meet Marjorie O'Neill

As a fifth generation Bronte girl, who has always lived in the Coogee electorate, I know how important it is to stand up for the issues my constituents care about, so that together we can make our area a better place to live, work and raise a family.

Giving back to my beloved community is one of my greatest joys, and as an active Clovelly surf lifesaver I am privileged to enjoy this area’s astounding natural beauty while serving others. I have always fought for the best interests of my community, and I promise to continue to do the same in Parliament.
