NSW to Trial Pill Testing at Music Festivals in 2025

December 19, 2024

Following recommendations from the 2024 Drug Summit, the trial provides a critical health intervention, connecting users with peer workers for harm reduction advice. This free, anonymous service allows attendees to have substances analysed for dangerous contaminants. While the program focuses on safety, the government maintains a zero-tolerance stance on drug supply.

Police will continue targeting dealers, and illicit substances remain illegal, ensuring a balance between public health and law enforcement.
