Dr MARJORIE O'NEILL (Coogee) — On the 22nd of July I was able to join the incredible catering staff at Prince of Wales and celebrate all of their consistent, hard work, particularly during such difficult times. The catering and food staff of our hospitals have been on the front line of the COVID-19 pandemic every single day. Good food is essential for a patient's recovery and the food staff of the Randwick precinct hospitals play a huge role in each patients' recovery. A pandemic has not stopped their service, instead it has driven these staff to meet every challenge they have faced and keep their patients safe and well. I would like to take this moment to say thank you to each and every food staff member from across NSW, for the huge contribution they have made over the last few months. In particular, I would like to acknowledge staff of the Prince of Wales Hospital, who have done an excellent job and I have been able to see and hear about firsthand. Thank you also to the Health Services Union NSW for their outstanding support of our frontline workers.
