That this House:

1. Recognises the significant economic and social contribution of the University of New South Wales to the Eastern Suburbs and to New South Wales.

2. Recognises the University of New South Wales employs more than 7,500 staff and supports many hundreds of other local businesses and services, including a deep connection to three tertiary referral hospitals.

3. Notes that while the Victorian Government has made a $460 million commitment to the sector, the Government has all but ignored the University of New South Wales and all tertiary institutions in New South Wales.

4. Calls on the Government to immediately act to save hundreds of jobs at the University of New South Wales.
